Brazil: Educational and Public Policy Leadership for 21st Century Growth

Established in 2013. In collaboration with the Lemann Foundation, a non-profit organization in Brazil promoting nationwide reform in the education sector, this recurring, customized program addresses standards-based education reform, namely the development of a national or “core” curriculum at the elementary and secondary school levels in Brazil.

Issues addressed include:

  • Curriculum and stakeholder development related to the launch of a core curriculum
  • Best practices in teacher training; and
  • Technological innovation in education

Program participants have included a variety of Brazilian public officials, including the Minister of Education.
